  • Go to the software application which you are using to print, click File, and then tap Print.
  • Wait as the Print window opens.
  • Open the Properties window and view the options there.
  • The options can be Properties, Options, Printer Setup, Printer, or Preferences.
  • Change the settings as per the given parameters like Paper Type, Print Quality, Paper Size, Black and White, etc. If you want to print on a photo paper, click on that in the Paper Type window and, if you want to print in black and white color only, choose the grayscale option.
  • Once you change your preferred print settings, click OK to apply them and then tap Print.
  • The next solution you can follow is to clean the ink cartridges from your printer’s control panel.
  • Turn off your printer by pushing down the Power button lightly.
  • Keep blank paper in the input tray.

  • Open run and enter c:/programdata, open the HP folder, and clear any printer-related data.
  • Open run again, type %temp%, and push Enter.
  • Restart your computer, open the run command, enter services.msc, and tap OK.
  • Move to the RPC option, right-tap, and click Properties.
  • Now, scroll up to Function Discovery Provider Host, right-click, and tap Properties.
  • Modify the startup type to ‘manual’ and start it.
  • Do the same for Function Discovery Provider Host.
  • Install the most recent software now.

  • Check the network connection between the printer and system. If the Hp Envy 7640 printer is connected to a wireless network, set the computer and printer close to a router for better signal strength.
  • You need to create TCP/IP Port on the printer.
  • Try to print a Configuration page to obtain the printer’s IPv4 address.
  • Tap the Wireless icon on the printer’s control panel to access the IP address. If you wish to find the IP address from the system, navigate to the Control Panel.
  • Select the Devices and Printers icon.
  • Right-click on the printer name, select Printer Properties, and choose the Ports tab.
  • Select the Add Port icon.
  • Select Standard TCP/IP Port.
  • Choose the New Port icon.
  • Go through the prompts mentioned on the screen to complete the process.
  • Key in the proper IP address for the printer.
  • Use the EWS to set the IP address for the printer manually.
  • Find the network settings for the EWS page.
  • Locate the manual IP address settings that areunder the IPv4 address or Network Address menu.
