Fix printer problems after upgrading windows 10

No more b/w or colour print option after last windows 10 update

  • If you are facing an issue where your printer is not printing in black or color ink after you did the latest Windows 10 update, then you can solve this issue by performing a hard reset on your printer.
  • Remove the electrical cable from the printer and wall socket when the printer is turned on. Halt for a minute or two, then push and hold the Power button on the printer for 30 seconds.
  • Reconnect the interface cable to the socket on the wall and rear of the printer. Power your printer on.
  • Now, do a clean install activity.
  • Disconnect the USB cord from your printer.
  • Open Control Panel and Programs and Features and choose all the entries of your printer and uninstall them.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Select Start on the desktop, enter device manager in the search box, and click Device Manager in the list.
  • In the Device Manager window, tap View present in the top and select Show hidden devices.
  • Go to the Printer menu and if you find any entries, right-click on it and tap Uninstall.
  • Choose the box which says Delete the driver software for this device.
  • Select the options in printer queue and imaging devices and do the same process.
  • Close Device Manager.
  • Press Windows+R keys and type printui.exe /s.
  • In the print server properties, delete the entries in the Drivers option.
  • Open run and enter c:/programdata, open the HP folder, and clear any printer-related data.
  • Open run again, type %temp%, and push Enter.
  • Restart your computer, open the run command, enter services.msc, and tap OK.
  • Move to the RPC option, right-tap, and click Properties.
  • Now, scroll up to Function Discovery Provider Host, right-click, and tap Properties.
  • Modify the startup type to ‘manual’ and start it.
  • Do the same for Function Discovery Provider Host.
  • Install the most recent software now.
