Guidance: My phone want a password to connect to my printer

  • Your printer does not have a password, but your router does. If you have installed any third party application that secures your apps, enter the password that you have assigned for unlocking the application and try.
  • Check whether the latest printer application is installed on your phone before you start. If your printer has a display panel, select Settings -> Network Connection or Network Settings.
  • Choose Wireless Setup Wizard or Network Setup for further assistance and the printer looks for a list of nearby networks, choose your network, enter the credentials of the router and tap Connect.
  • Go to your phone settings and check whether the printer is added to the list of devices in the Devices menu. If you are an iPhone user, open AirPrint and check if the latest version of it is installed.
  • Open a document or photo and select the Share icon.
  • Now select the printer from the list, and tap Print.
  • Make sure to complete the printer setup process properly and start printing.
  • Guess what! You need not use a router to print wirelessly if your printer supports Wireless Direct.
  • Just keep your printer and computer close to each other while printing using Wireless Direct.

This document is for resolving the Lines or streaks print quality issue in HP Sprocket 200 Printer. This photo quality issues can be resolved using a genuine HP ZINK photo paper for printing. HP recommends using genuine HP ZINK Sprocket and Sprocket Plus Photo Paper for the best photo quality.

These instructions does not resolve the issues regarding the photo quality, when non-HP photo paper is used. The Dirt or debris on the paper path rollers can cause defects in Print quality. Use the same color print quality card from the pack of HP ZINK photo paper in the printer to clean the paper path rollers. Initially, remove the paper cover and then remove any photo paper from the input tray. The photo paper is checked by removing the bend, wrinkled or torn photo paper from the stack. Then reload the photo paper with the colored card in the bottom of the stack with the bar code facing downwards and replace the paper cover. The Sprocket calibrates and cleans the paper path rollers with the colored card to give a flawless printed photo. Try to print a set of text in a clean paper, inorder to check the quality.

You might get this error if the cartridge is not compatible with the printer. It is also possible that the cartridges are dirty or misaligned. In some cases, it can occur if the printer firmware is not updated. You can try updating the firmware as the first step. If your printer is connected wirelessly, then connect the device with USB for some time and follow the link available on the manufacturer’s website to install the recent firmware update on your printer.

In case it doesn’t work, perform a hard reset on the printer. Make sure to connect your printer directly to a wall socket and not to any spike busters or surge protectors. With your printer powered on, unplug the power wire from the back of the printer and the wall socket. Unplug the USB cable if inserted.
